UMak President Visits Foundation University

Foundation University welcomed Professor Elyxzur Ramos, president of the University of Makati (UMak), along with his wife, Joyce, on the campus on February 7, 2025. The meeting laid groundworks for a potential partnership that could benefit the academic and institutional programs of the two universities.

Prof. Ramos and his wife were escorted into the boardroom, where a broad range of proposals were covered. Particular attention was given to multimedia, animation, film, the arts, research, allied health programs, ethical use of AI, and law and jurisprudence. Collaborative cultural mapping initiatives were also raised, opening avenues for students to research and engage more deeply with local cultural assets and heritages. 

In pooling resources and expertise, both FU and UMak hope to push creative and technical boundaries, raising a new generation of professionals and executives ready for the country’s cultural and economic development goals. 

Both FU and UMak share a mission in providing innovative and accessible education, maintaining a clear sense of responsibility toward their communities in the process. The two are hopeful that this collaboration will strengthen their commitments toward educational and societal betterment.
