In a moving celebration of leadership, legacy, and community, Foundation University officially renamed its North Campus as the Mira D. Sinco Campus (M5 Campus).

The announcement came as a complete surprise to University President Emeritus Dr. Mira D. Sinco, the beloved matriarch of the FU Greyhound community. The renaming serves as the ultimate testament to her profound impact and lifelong dedication to the institution.

During the dedication ceremony, current University President Victor Vicente “Dean” Guzman Sinco shared a heartfelt tribute to his mother. He reflected on the university’s humble beginnings under its founder, his grandfather, Dr. Vicente G. Sinco, and acknowledged Dr. Mira’s tireless work in continuing and shaping the family’s enduring legacy.

The event also highlighted how Dr. Mira’s leadership directly shaped the lives of generations of students, from internationally acclaimed alumni to young pupils just beginning their academic journeys.

Internationally acclaimed multidisciplinary visual artist and street photographer Hersley-Ven Casero attended the event to honor his former mentor. Casero, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and won Artist of the Year at FU, discovered his passion for art during his college years. He fondly recalled how Dr. Mira gave her full, unwavering support to his early art journey, even paying out of her own pocket to help him succeed.

The celebration also turned its spotlight on the future generation of Greyhounds. Three sisters currently enrolled in the Foundation Preparatory Academy (FPA)—Trixie Garnet, Sapphire Dawn, and Lian Jade O. Ruiz—shared their unique insights about growing up together on campus.

The youngest, Trixie, spoke about the excitement of starting her schooling at FPA. Sapphire, the middle sister, shared her experiences of growth and discovery within the university's supportive environment. Meanwhile, the eldest sister, Lian, explained how FPA is actively preparing her for the next chapter of her life. The Ruiz sisters closed their message with a proud, shared sentiment: their bright futures all began right here on the Mira D. Sinco Campus.

With this renaming of the North Campus, Dr. Mira D. Sinco’s iconic leadership will continue to inspire every student who walks through its gates, anchoring Foundation University's future in a proud tradition of excellence.
