After a seven-year hiatus, Foundation University makes a triumphant comeback to the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) Business Leadership Program, a stage renowned for shaping the nation’s brightest young leaders and future business trailblazers.
Leading the historic comeback is Lebron Jay M. Bantug, a BSBA Marketing Management student and President of Junior Marketing Executives. Mr. Bantug had to undergo months of intensive screening and tests to earn a spot among the Top 30 Official AmCham BLP trainees nationwide, besting hundreds of applicants from the top universities and colleges of the Philippines.
Mr. Bantug will be traveling to Manila in June for a week-long immersive training in business and commerce, getting unmatched exposure and learning from senior executives and leaders from American and multinational companies.
The last Foundationite who earned this honor seven years ago was Marco Fernando, who was also the first student from Foundation University to become an AmCham BLP trainee. Now, Mr. Bantug’s success brings that legacy full circle. This confirms that Foundation University is committed to shaping capable leaders who can compete at a national and global level.
The AmCham Business Leadership Program is a widely recognized leadership initiative designed for the country's top students. It features sessions with senior executives and leaders from American and multinational companies, providing unmatched exposure and training.
To be chosen as a trainee in this prestigious program is no easy feat - applicants must be high-performing students with good academic standing and proven leadership experience in school organizations or volunteer work in community activities. Shortlisted candidates would be tested on their analytical and leadership skills, followed by a panel interview with HR practitioners and senior executives.
Mr. Bantug stands out in a large pool of competitive aspirants, proving to every Foundationite that national and global stages are within reach. His achievement serves as a benchmark and an inspiration, paving the way for future students to aim higher.
For Foundation University, this return to AmCham BLP is not just a comeback - it’s a testament to the institution’s role as a center of excellence. Mr. Bantug carries with him the hopes and pride of the entire Foundationite community.
The legacy is alive, and the best is yet to come.
