Foundation University is proud to be recognized in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, which evaluates universities worldwide based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By integrating the SDGs into our daily operations, academic research, and community outreach programs, Foundation University has demonstrated its dedication to addressing some of the world's most pressing challenges.
Securing a spot on this international list requires institutions to undergo a comprehensive data validation process. Universities must submit verified evidence across multiple sustainability categories, which are then evaluated using research metrics, official institutional policies, and public evidence. This methodology ensures that included universities are making measurable, real-world impacts.
For Foundation University, this achievement serves as an objective benchmark to measure its progress against international standards. The university administration plans to utilize the evaluation data to refine academic programs, enhance resource management, and strengthen its regional and global community partnerships. In fact, University leaders, selected staff members, and student leaders recently had a Sustainable Development Goals workshop earlier this month, facilitated by Brian Joseph Bango of the UN Development Programme.
This sustainability impact ranking from THE evaluates universities across four core pillars: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching. Below are the key institutional statistics from the 2026 evaluation:
