Foundation University Honored In CHEDRO-NIR's First Regional Quality Awards

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office–NIR (CHEDRO–NIR) recently honored Foundation University with several prestigious awards in the region’s first-ever Regional Quality Awards.


In celebration of CHED’s 31st Foundation Anniversary and 5th National Higher Education Day, a series of activities was organized featuring the participation of Higher Education Institution (HEI) personnel, staff, and officials. A highlight of the event was the inauguration of the NIR’s Regional Quality Awards — the first since CHEDRO–NIR assumed office in Region XVIII–NIR.


This program celebrates the exceptional contributions of HEIs in areas such as instruction, research, and community extension, in alignment with relevant CHED Memorandum Orders and Issuances.


Foundation University received recognition in the following categories:


  • Award for Excellence in Community Extension

  • Award for Excellence in Students Affairs and Ser vices

  • Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Innovative Awards for Higher Education

  • Model Implementer Award on the issuance of Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CAV) and Special Orders (SOs)

  • Model Implementer Award (Student Financial Assistance Program)

  • Model Implementer Award (Unified Students Financial Assistance for Tertiary Education)


University President Victor Vicente “Dean” Sinco attended the ceremony at Silliman University’s Luce Auditorium, joined by Innovations Advisor and Marketing Consultant Stephen Sinco, Assistant Vice Chancellor Glene May Lusares, and Vice Chancellor and College of Law Dean Atty. Jesus Ramon Quevenco.
