Every Foundation University alumnus and alumna has a story worth telling. Some have spent years serving others, some have built their careers through hard work and perseverance, and others have used what they have learned to create opportunities and make a difference in their communities.

The Foundation University Alumni Relations Office, together with the Foundation University Alumni Association, Inc., is inviting the alumni community to help recognize these individuals through the Search for Outstanding Alumni.

The search aims to recognize Foundationites whose work, achievements, and contributions have made a difference in their profession and in the communities they serve. This year, nominations are open in eight fields: Education, Research, and Innovation; Economy and Social Development; Culture, Arts, and Media; Business and Entrepreneurship; Government, Public Service, and Uniformed Personnel; Health and Allied Services; Agriculture and Environmental Development; and Law and Jurisprudence.

Field of Education, Research, and Innovation: This category recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to education, research, and innovation. They may have demonstrated excellence in teaching, educational leadership, research, technology development, or the creation of programs and initiatives that improve learning and generate practical solutions for society. Their work may benefit students, institutions, industries, or communities.

Field of Economy and Social Development: This category recognizes alumni who have contributed to the social and economic development of communities through public service, community engagement, development programs, social enterprises, cooperatives, and other initiatives that improve people's lives. Their work helps preserve cultural identity, promote artistic excellence, educate audiences, and inspire communities.

Field of Business and Entrepreneurship: This category recognizes alumni who have demonstrated excellence in business, entrepreneurship, and enterprise development. They may have established successful businesses, generated employment, introduced innovative products or services, strengthened local industries, or contributed to economic growth while practicing ethical and responsible business leadership.

Field of Government, Public Service, and Uniformed Personnel: This category recognizes alumni who have demonstrated integrity, commitment, and excellence in public service through government agencies or the uniformed services. They may have contributed to effective governance, public safety, national security, public administration, disaster response, or the delivery of essential public services.

Field of Health and Allied Services: This category recognizes alumni who have made meaningful contributions to healthcare and public health through clinical practice, education, research, health promotion, or community service. Their work improves the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Field of Agriculture and Environmental Development: This category recognizes alumni who have contributed to sustainable agriculture, fisheries, forestry, environmental conservation, natural resource management, food security, and climate resilience. They may have contributed to protecting rights, promoting access to justice, strengthening legal institutions, or improving legal education and governance.

The search is not simply about titles, awards, or professional achievements. More importantly, it is about recognizing Foundationites who have used their knowledge, skills, and experiences to serve others and make a difference. It is also a chance for the alumni community to recognize people whose work and contributions deserve to be remembered and celebrated.
